Process began with lots of questions and research into the typical marketer workflow used when creating personas. This intense process was followed by whiteboarding and sketching to wrap our heads around the various layers and functions that needed to be accommodated for in the tool.
After whiteboarding, we moved to slightly more formal wireframes to start fleshing out functionality.
Finally, after a number of rapid iterations, we created an elegant yet powerful tool. Final visuals for creating a persona from scratch follow.
Personas can be created using a number of different attributes
Once the marketer selects these, they will enter into an attribute editing state.
Here, they select values for their attribute 'cards' on the right by tapping and interacting with values on each card.
Once the marketer starts setting values for their attributes, they will see corresponding persona and audience info generated in the lefthand column. They can now use this info to ensure they are hitting the right audiences.
